A Grandpa like Me!.

I went to work out today on my day off. I got on the treadmill and did 30 minutes of cardio. Then I went and did my resistance training. I was following a man that could be my Grandpa. I noticed that after the third machine I hadn’t had to change any of the weights. Yep, that’s right me and old Grandpa work out with the same weight. The only thing I think that could be worse than that is if I let that hurt my pride and decided to do too much weight for prideful reasons. Therefore I kept on trucking with my weight. It was a good workout!

The rest today and ability to get things done has been awesome. I am ready for Spring Break!

Day Off!

Midterms are over and spring break is upon me. Tomorrow is my day and I am getting things done that I need to get done. I am sleeping in a little, working out, cleaning my office, working on my paper for New Testament, working on my case for Conflict, and a little quiet time.

Days off are extremely important. It’s a chance to take care of yourself and have a weekly sabbath. When they aren’t taken, you find yourself tired and not at your best. Not only am I getting to take tomorrow off, I will be off all week next week.

Now I will be going to the office tomorrow, but its on my own schedule. That means that I will be able to go at my own pace and getting my office clean will be a great time of relaxation for me.

Midterms and Spring Break

This week my two weekly graduate classes are having midterms. So this will be a stressful week. However, spring break is coming up afterward. My midterms are in Greek and Advanced Introduction to New Testament. Both will be challenging. There is a lot of studying going on in the evenings for me. I will be glad when this week concludes.

We are going to Houston to visit with Leah’s family for spring break. Leah’s dad has set up a special time for her and her mom and sister. Which means that him and I get to go have a steak. What can be better than that. Maybe I will have some time to play some golf too.

Not sure yet where Leah and I will go on Sunday. Could be Bering or Southwest Central.

I am just excited to not think too hard about anything for a few days!
