A Better Day

Today was a better day. Leah went back to work and life became somewhat normal again, whatever that is.

This weekend we are having a jr/sr leadership weekend. It’s in town and should be a lot of fun. It will give our group a chance to have ownership in the youth ministry.

Life keeps moving and we keep moving with it. Before I know it another semester of grad school goes by, then another school year is gone, and then another summer ends.

I anticipate the arrival of our children and watching them grow and us grow as parents.

God is Amazing and I’m excited to be a part of the journey!

Emergency Room

Yesterday Leah’s doctor sent us to the ER because Leah was so sick! There is nothing urgent about an ER. We spent one hour waiting to check in and a total of 4 hours before we saw a nurse. It was the fifth hour that we saw the doctor and the sixth and a half hour before we were discharged. Leah got sick immediately after returning home, of course while I was running to go get the new prescriptions. She has been sick today as well and concerns over dehydration and nutrition are continuing. Right now she is asleep. The babies are okay and Leah is hanging in there and I’m okay because they are okay! The only plus about the ER yesterday was that we were able to hear the babies heartbeats for the first time. They were pumping fast and strong and both Leah and I feel like we know these little ones now. Please continue to pray for Leah to get better and for the babies to keep being strong.

We Are Having Twins!

Leah and I found out we were pregnant back in July. We found out it was twins in August. Leah is now 13 weeks and we have had our second appointment. The twins are growing well and we are very excited for the challenge ahead. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

This is from our first appointment when we received the surprise that we had two babies!

These were from today’s appointment. The first is both, second twin A, and third Twin B.

I hope to keep everyone posted on how things are going. At this point Leah is feeling okay and still working.
